The first year we were working with 270 students of 1stESO of 5 IES to create a sound device for remixing and mapping of musical listening in the transition from primary to secondary school.
After this sound mapping of Prat, during the second year we focused on a longer process of work with fewer students (1st and 3rd ESO of Ribera-Baixa, and 2nd ESO of IES DalÃ) that allowed them to enter into musical composition, working on the idea of shared listening, at home, in the neighborhood and in the city.
The third year has been articulated around language and identity. Using a sound archive of oral expressions, compiled by the 4th ESO students of the Institut Salvador Dalà and the 3rd ESO students of the Institut Escola Pepa Colomer, we have created musical pieces based solely on words.
If there is one word to characterize the last year of the anthropoloops laboratory in El Prat it is 'synergy'. The power and scope that an art and school project can acquire when artists, mediators and teachers work collectively and in tune. It's a pleasure to have been part of this...
